George received his first invitation from Chaplain Jack McCarty of the Clements Unit in Amarillo, Texas, the 2nd largest High Security Prison in Texas. With the first edition of the workbook in hand. George and Nancy taught the three day Course for the very first time to the 50 men in the faith-based dorm.

The course was so well received, after just one day, the news spread throughout the prison. Chaplain McCarty took me to visit a non-faith dorm where men expressed excitement to take the course. Chaplain McCarty was hopeful to expand the course throughout the inmate population. “These were tenuous moments, but God’s blessing was upon our labors.”
