OUR CHALLENGE?
Greetings, I am Pastor George Quin. Author of Taking Anger Seriously, A Divine Answer for Human Anger. Throughout my life, I have engaged people with deeply rooted anger. Then God saw fit to allow me to go down a path of emotional attrition, facing a series of continual offenses over a 12-year period. Those offenses weren’t as bad as many others that I have met, but they were challenging for me. That experience took its toll on my emotions and made the study of anger a personal matter. Then, in January 2010, I began discipleship ministry in the Denton County jail where I faced the very serious crisis of Domestic violence.
OUR MISSION STATEMENT
To help incarcerated/formerly incarcerated people overcome the reproach of their anger through the Gospel of Jesus Christ. In turn this reduces recidivism, fosters reunification with loved ones and emotionally and spiritually prepares individuals for life after incarceration
I have labored for 14 years to produce a State-of-the-Art Biblical Anger management program for the Texas Department of Criminal Justice (TDCJ). Taking Anger Seriously is a thorough Biblical study of what God says about anger with a great deal of practical counsel. The book and workbook grew out of hundreds of their testimonies, validating the need for real change in the hearts and minds of offenders in ways that Secular Anger Management Courses could not. It is God who provides the higher counsel.….

how to help us
Violent crime is the dominant felony and those offenders are among the highest percentage of inmates. This is what makes Taking Anger Seriously so vital within Corrections. Not only are Nancy and I tasked with establishing this course throughout prisons in the United States, but we also feel a calling to make disciples among the inmates. Within prison, pastoral leaders are rare and in high demand.
Please support Nancy and I as we travel to prisons and stay in cheap hotels to build the Church behind bars.
